Enlightenment and Lessons

A happy life of love and enlightenment. It's something we all seek at one point.

Recently I went through something a bit challenging, with a close friend taking the worst of a bad situation and myself feeling unable to help. It made me think about things in a different light and write this to help us both rediscover what was important for us. I know this post will not be to everyone's taste, but I would love for you to take a few minutes out to read a bit about my journey so far and what I have learned along the way, if you wouldn't mind.

Throughout my journey to some sort of enlightenment, so far I have learned many lessons. The biggest lesson was realizing I am no higher, no better then any other man or woman created until I treat all other beings on this earth with respect and love, regardless of their intentions. Cruel words, even if the intentions behind them are seemingly good in your mind, are hurtful and make you just the same as anyone else!

I learned much about my family through my journey. When trying to force my family out from meddling in my business, I realized their intentions were to help me strive and open my eyes to the world in their own ways. They were never doing me any harm, just enlightening me of how they saw the world. Insight, even if you feel like it is not worthy of being listened to and incorrect, can be listened to and should be listened to. We can learn a lot from other people's thoughts on topics and discussions, regardless of if it is correct or not. We can then process it all ourselves, think of what we agree or disagree with and form our own opinions and conclusions more freely in our heads.

I have known from experience so far that I have felt alone, because sometimes it may be hard to voice opinions and it may feel like friends or family have lost their true identity, become evil or become just another face in the crowd.

But something I remember is that each and every one of us on this journey start off the same. However, sometimes underlying flaws appear or mistakes are made that change how we perceive them. But its not always a bad thing!

Everyone needs to learn by themselves throughout their lives on their paths, through their flaws and mistakes they've made. They can't be forced to learn these things from those who may feel enlightened or those who have found their way in life. That is their path, their choices. Not yours, mine or anyone else's! And that is ok!

Remember, no one is stopping you on your path. No one. The only thing stopping you is you!

If you need to leave your life, your nest, your comfort zone, your life that doesn't quite feel like yours and create a proper life for yourself, that is totally fine. Leave knowing you've done all you can for those not on your path and start your life fresh, having a partner, kids, whatever your heart desires. Many on this journey find light and love then make the mistake of trying to force their opinions on friends and family to save them and cleanse them of evil. But the most beautiful and heartfelt thing you can do is allow those others to find their own paths or their own ways, and eventually their path might connect back to yours.

I really hope with this knowledge I can inspire you. I hope you can be the best you can be without the feeling that others need to be made to go on this path and allow them the time and space to learn, grow and start along this path when they are ready for life's lessons.
